Recording Movies at Specific Shutter Speeds, Aperture Values, and ISO Speeds (PowerShot G9 X Mark II)

    Solution

      Set your preferred shutter speed, aperture value, and ISO speed.
      The setting procedures are explained below.
      IMPORTANT
      Some shutter speeds may cause flickering on the screen when recording under fluorescent or LED lighting, which may be recorded.

      1.Turn the camera on.
      • Press the power button.
      • The startup screen is displayed.

      2.Enter [ ] mode.
      • Set the mode dial to [ ].



      • Touch [ ], and then choose [ ].
      • To confirm your choice, touch [OK].

      3.Configure the settings.
      • Touch [ ] ( ), choose an item to
      configure ( ), and then turn the [ ] ring to specify a value.

      • <> will be displayed on the selected item.
      Shutter speed
      Aperture
      Exposure
      ISO speed

      4.Shoot.
      • Press the movie button.

      • During recording, you can switch the setting to configure by touching ( )[ ]repeatedly and adjust the value by turning the ( )[ ]ring.


      NOTE
      • You can also adjust the exposure when ISO speed is set to [AUTO] by touching [ ] a few times, choosing the exposure compensation bar, and then turning the [ ] ring.
      • When the ISO speed is fixed, an exposure level mark based on your specified value is shown on the exposure level indicator for comparison to the standard exposure level. The exposure level mark is shown as [ ] or [ ] when the difference from standard exposure exceeds 3 stops.
      • You can check the ISO speed in [AUTO] mode by pressing the shutter button halfway. If standard exposure cannot be obtained with your specified shutter speed and aperture value, the ISO speed is displayed in orange.
      • Focus can be adjusted during recording by touching [AF] (to switch it to [MF]) and then touching [ ][ ].
