How to install the printer driver by downloading it from the print server (computer)

Solution
If you have installed an alternative printer driver on the print server, install the printer driver on the client computers using the following procedure.
NOTE
Clarifications of the operation and additional explanations for the procedure are indicated at the end of this page. Reading these notes is highly recommended.
1. From [My Network Places] (or from [Network Neighborhood]), select and double-click the shared computer (print server).
2. Double-click the printer to be installed.
3. Click [Yes].
4. If you are using Windows 98/Me, perform the installation by following the instructions of the Wizard.
5. After the installation is completed, restart the computer.
NOTE
a. If an alternative printer driver is not installed on the print server, see "How to configure the print server (computer) (Windows 2000/XP/Server 2003)" in Related Information at the end of this page and install the printer driver.
