Solution
Autofocus may not work well on the following subjects. In such case, focus manually.
Adjust the zoom before you start the procedure.
1.Push the joystick < 
> to display the joystick guide.

( SET ) >.
> [ FOCUS ] and press < ( SET ) >.
[ MF ] appears on the screen.
3.Adjust < 
> the focus as necessary.

- During focus lock, press < ( SET ) > to return the camcorder to autofocus.
Use this function when you wish to focus on faraway subjects such as mountains or fireworks.
Instead of step 3 in the previous procedure:
Push the joystick <

] appears. - If you operate the zoom or push the joystick <
> and hold it down, [ ] changes to [MF] and the camcorder returns to manual focus.
