Solution
Please perform the following procedures if the battery pack cannot be charged even if the compact power adapter is connected to the camcorder.
1-1.Turn the power of the camcorder < OFF >, and then remove the battery pack.
1-2.First, connect the compact power adapter to the camcorder, and then install the battery pack.
1-3.Make sure that the CHG (charge) indicator blinks indicating that charging has started.
If charging does not start, press the ON/OFF button once.
Depending on the battery pack, some may start charging without any problems.
CAUTION
If the power can be turned < ON > by pressing the ON/OFF button, the battery pack is not being charged.
If charging still does not start, perform the following procedures.
2-1.Turn the power of the camcorder < OFF >, and then remove the battery pack.
2-2.Connect the compact power adapter to the camcorder, and then check whether the power can be turned < ON > by pressing the ON/OFF button.
- If the power cannot be turned < ON >, there is a possibility that the camcorder or the compact power adapter is defective. Please contact the nearest Canon service center.
- If the power can be turned < ON >, there is a possibility that the camcorder or the battery pack is defective. Please contact the nearest Canon service center.
