    Detail

    Firmware Version 1.3.0 incorporates the following enhancements:
    1. Adds [Auto pwr off temp.] to the menu to allow selection of [Standard] or [High] for auto power off due to high card temperature.
    * When [Auto pwr off temp.] is set to [High], the available movie recording time may be extended.
    Note that the camera's internal temperature tends to rise more than when the [Auto pwr off temp.: Standard] is set.
    2. Adds Movie/still photo switch to quickly switch between movie shooting mode and still photo shooting mode.
    3. Uploading Images to cloud service and Manual/Software URL menu options have been changed.
    * Please note that the menu options vary depending upon the region you live in.

    If the camera's firmware is already Version 1.3.0, it is not necessary to update the firmware.

    The User Manual on our website has been updated accordingly. Please download the User Manual as well as the latest firmware. You can download it from the official website.

    Preparations for a firmware update:
    After the downloaded compressed file (.dmg file) is extracted, a firmware folder is created.

    *Extracting the downloaded file:
    The downloaded folder is automatically extracted, and a firmware folder is created. If the download folder cannot be automatically extracted, double-click the folder.

    In the folder you downloaded are the firmware (PSV10130.FIR / file size: 48,930,592 bytes) and instructions on the firmware update procedures (a PDF file in five languages: Japanese, English, French, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese). Before starting the firmware update operations, please be sure to carefully review the instructions to confirm your understanding of the firmware update procedures.

    (The following is the history of past firmware updates.)

    Changes in version 1.2.0:
    1. Performance of image stabilization has been enhanced.

    Changes in version 1.1.0:
    1. Fixes the left/right behavior of the cross keys when flipping the monitor.
    2. A function that enables simple video editing during video playback has been added.
    3. Adds Twitch as a livestreaming service available to the camera user.*
    4. Adds support for the Software Development Assistance Kit (EDSDK/CCAPI).

    *Livestreaming on Twitch may be changed, suspended, or terminated without notice.
