Canon India has been recognized as one of the Best Employers in India 2011, in an extensive nationwide study conducted over by Aon Hewitt, a global human resources consulting firm.
The study started in August 2010 and more than 200 companies participated across industries. There was a stringent methodology with 4 steps
The final evaluation was done by a jury comprising of five eminent members like VS Mahesh, MD of VSM Consulting and renowned human resource professional with 40 years of industry and academics in India and abroad; Meher Pudumjee, Chairperson Thermax, Bhaskar Chatterjee, Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Prof Shyamal Roy, Board of Governors, IIM, and N Mahalakshmi, Editor, Outlook Magazine.
In a felicitation ceremony on 29th April 2011, Canon was recognized along with some very large organizations in India.
We have participated two times in Best Employers study and on both occasions we were selected among the top companies. Canon India is on high growth path and to make our growth sustainable, it is important that we place utmost importance on people. This is a confirmation and continuous check of our efforts towards benchmarking our HR processes with the best in the country, effectiveness of our people practices and whether there is a strong alignment in the company.
This is also an affirmation of our vision statement which states that we will be a company that is respected by people and people who work for Canon and those related with it will take pride of this association.
