and wish to download the designated software
EOS Utility is an application that brings together all of the functions required to communicate with the camera. Functions for downloading and displaying images, remote shooting, and camera control of each setting when an EOS DIGITAL camera is connected to a computer have been integrated.
EOS Utility 2.4 Updater for Mac OS X is software that will install EOS Utility 2.4 on your computer or update a previously installed version of EOS Utility to EOS Utility 2.4. It is necessary to update your software that the previous version has been already installed on your computer.
When using Mac OS 10.5, there are limitations with EOS DIGITAL. For details, please refer to "Caution" at the middle of this page.
1. Changes with EOS Utility 2.4
1-1. Supports Mac OS X v10.5 (Leopard)
1-2. The function to select multiple images together has been added
A series of multiple images can be checked together in the viewer window when downloading images. If a user clicks the first image for download and then, clicks the last image while holding down the Shift key, the check boxes for those images will be displayed.
(Supported cameras: EOS Kiss X2/EOS DIGITAL REBEL XSi/EOS DIGITAL 450D, EOS-1Ds Mark III, EOS 40D, EOS-1D Mark III)
2. Changes with EOS Utility 2.3
2-1. Supports EOS Kiss X2/EOS DIGITAL REBEL XSi/EOS DIGITAL 450D
2-2. Fixed a Remote Shooting problem
The software fixes a problem in which the images are not transferred to the PC in the Remote Live View function of EOS Utility when the Remote Live View window is displayed and then closed, and that EOS Utility does not respond afterwards even when releasing the shutter on the camera.
(Supported cameras: EOS-1Ds Mark III, EOS 40D, EOS-1D Mark III)
2-3. Improvements to the Remove Live View window
When double-clicking the Remove Live View window, it will switch to the Zoom View screen. When double-clicking the Zoom View screen, it will switch to the Remote Live View window.
(Supported Cameras: EOS Kiss X2/EOS DIGITAL REBEL XSi/EOS DIGITAL 450D, EOS-1Ds Mark III, EOS 40D, EOS-1D Mark III)
2-4. Additional functions for the Remove Live View window
The software adds a Maintain Zoom View check box to the Zoom View screen. By clicking this check box (On), even if remote shooting is performed or the magnification of the camera is changed while the Zoom View screen is displayed, the Remote Live View window is not displayed on the previous screen, and the Zoom View screen is displayed on the previous screen instead. (The setting for the check box is off by default)
