About Zoom Lever of HG10 digital video camcorders

We have discovered that the zoom lever of some HG10 digital video camcorders is faulty and that may affect normal zoom lever operation.

This is caused by a tilt or sag of the zoom lever when oil is applied to internal components of the zoom lever to prevent rust during manufacturing stage.

Your unit could be affected if the seventh digit in the serial number listed in the battery compartment ranges from "0" to "4" inclusive.

To rectify this situation, we are providing free repairs regardless of warranty status. Please contact your nearest Canon Service Centre.

    Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
