The printer generates abnormal noise or loud operating sounds.

    Issue

    The following sounds may be generated while the printer is ON. However, they are not due to a printer problem or printer malfunction.
    - Noise is generated automatically due to performing calibration.
    - Big or sudden noise is generated during, before, or after printing.
    NOTE
    Calibration is automatically performed every 12 hours or each time 800 pages (Full color print: 200 pages; Monochrome print: 800 pages) are printed.

    Cause and Solution

    When the case does not fall within the above:
    Cause 1:
    There is a possibility that a foreign object such as paper or vinyl material is stuck inside the printer.
    Remedy:
    Open the top cover and make sure no foreign object such as paper or vinyl material is stuck inside the printer. If any foreign object is stuck, remove it and close the top cover.

    Cause 2:
    There is a possibility that the paper is inappropriate.
    Remedy:
    Replace the paper with one that can be used with this printer.

    Cause 3:
    There is a possibility that the paper is not loaded properly.
    Remedy:
    Load the paper properly.
