Features

The first SX-series camera with an OLED EVF

Whether you are shooting telephoto or wide-angle, the 0.99cm, 2.36million dot high-definition OLED EVF provides a clear view of your shot—all the better for framing and composition. The large grip ensures a firm, stable hold on the camera, reducing camera shake for sharper, steadier images. Feel like a pro, shoot like a pro.

Up to 10 fps continuous shooting

Need a speed boost when capturing fast-moving subjects? The EC805 lets you shoot up to 10 frames per second (fps) with AF lock (One-Shot AF), and up to 5.7 fps while tracking moving subjects via Servo AF. Pair this with the super-telephoto capabilities for an enhanced sports and wildlife photography experience.

Dual Sensing IS with up to 5 stops’ image stabilization

Dual Sensing IS uses data on camera shake from the image sensor and gyro sensors on the lens to precisely counteract camera shake by up to as much as 5 shutter speed stops. This effectively corrects image blurring caused not only by high–frequency vibrations such as hand movement, but also deeper, lower-frequency vibrations resulting from body movement during breathing, etc.  A powerful feature that is immensely useful when shooting at super telephoto focal lengths.
